Easy-Peasy Plum Pie

Plum Pie is one of the easiest and fastest pies to make, and tastes amazing, especially with custard, whipped cream or ice cream on top!



• 4 cups sliced fresh plums

• ½ cup white sugar
• ¼ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell (Can be bought from most supermarkets, or use your own favourite homemade pastry)



• ½ cup white sugar

• ½ cup all-purpose flour
• ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
• ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 3 tablespoons cold butter




1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).


2. Combine plums, sugar, flour, lemon juice, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Pour into the pastry shell.


3. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Cut in butter until topping mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over plum mixture.


4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 50 to 60 minutes. Serve with custard, cream, ice cream or indulge in the sweetness as it is!
