Classic Summer Pavlova

Indulge in summer bliss with our classic pavlova ~ a delicate meringue nest embracing your favourite fruits, crowned with whipped cream. A taste of paradise in every bite!

 

INGREDIENTS

• 6 egg whites (at room temperature)

• 1 1/2 cups caster sugar (can be raw or white)

• 6 teaspoons corn flour

• 1 teaspoon white vinegar

 

To serve

• 300 ml whipped cream

• Your favourite summer fruit!

 

Method

1. Preheat oven to 100C; Using a pencil, draw a large circle in the centre of some baking paper; Place baking paper onto a greased oven tray.

 

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites with sugar until the mixture is thick and glossy (approx. 15 minutes)

 

3. Add corn flour and vinegar and mix through until combined;

 

4. Spoon mixture onto the prepared tray and shape into a 20cm disc, using the circle as a guide and pile high.

 

5.Bake for 2 hours, until crisp; At this point, turn off your oven, leaving the Pavlova in there with the door ajar until cool;

 

6.Carefully transfer pavlova to a flat plate, top with cream and decorate with your favourite fruits. Your masterpiece is ready to serve!
